The ecological, social, and economic challenges of our time are not distinct — they are one challenge, seen from different perspectives.
Heartwood works at the place where it all connects, bringing the same rigorous, people-centered approach to every engagement.

Jessi has worked across 30 countries helping organizations navigate the intersection of ecological integrity, social sustainability, and economic prosperity. Her experience has taught her something that applies everywhere: The most enduring solutions emerge when the people who live on a landscape are genuine partners in shaping its future.
She brings that hard-won perspective home to the American West, where wildfire season is lengthening, working landscapes face mounting pressure, and communities that depend on healthy forests and watersheds navigate risks that grow more complex each year. Based in Bend, Oregon, Jessi's primary focus is now domestic, while remaining selectively engaged in international work.
